    01How it works

    Three steps and done

    1. 01

Paste the URL and pick a template

Enter the landing page and tap the channel template: it fills in utm_source and utm_medium with values GA4 recognizes.

    2. 02

      Name the campaign

Type the campaign name, or several, one per line. The tool warns you about uppercase letters, spaces or accents.

    3. 03

      Copy, save or print

Copy the link, download the list as a CSV or generate the QR code as a PNG or SVG for your printed materials.

    02Why UTMs matter

Without UTMs, your campaigns get lost in “Direct”

UTM parameters are tags you add to the end of a link so Google Analytics 4 knows where each visit came from. Without them, traffic from WhatsApp, a PDF, an email or a printed QR code shows up as Direct or Unassigned, and you can't tell which campaign drove the sale.

The three required ones are utm_source (who sends the traffic: facebook, google, newsletter), utm_medium (the type of channel: cpc, paid_social, email, social) and utm_campaign (the campaign name). GA4 uses source and medium to sort every visit into its default channel groups, so it pays to use values it recognizes: for example, a medium that starts with paid or contains cp counts as paid traffic.

The most common mistake is inconsistency. GA4 is case-sensitive, so Facebook, facebook and FB show up as three different sources and your reports get fragmented. That's why the tool warns you when you type uppercase letters, spaces, accents or special characters, and offers to fix them in one click.

In Google Ads, the best practice is to turn on auto-tagging (gclid) and use UTMs only when another tool needs them. In Meta Ads you can paste the parameters into the ad's URL parameters field. For print, pair UTMs with a QR code: you'll know how many people scanned the flyer or banner and how many bought.

    • Channel templates

Facebook Ads, organic Instagram, Google Ads, WhatsApp, email and printed QR codes, with values GA4 classifies correctly.

    • Consistency warnings

Catches uppercase letters, spaces, accents and odd characters before they break your reports, and fixes them in one click.

    • Bulk mode

Enter several campaigns, one per line, and get a table of links ready to copy or download as a CSV.

    • QR code included

Generate the QR code for the final link as a PNG or SVG for flyers, banners, menus and packaging, with no third-party services.

    • Local history

Keeps your last 20 links in this browser and exports them to CSV for your campaign log.

    • Private

Everything runs in your browser. We don't store your URLs or campaign names.

    04FAQ

    What people ask us

Which utm_medium values does Google Analytics 4 recognize?
GA4 groups channels with rules. For example: cpc, ppc or any medium starting with paid counts as paid traffic; email as Email; social, social-network or sm as organic social; referral as Referral. If you use some other value, the visit may land in Unassigned.
Should I use UTMs in Google Ads?
If your Google Ads account is linked to GA4, turn on auto-tagging: it's more accurate. Add UTMs only if another tool, like your CRM, needs to receive the source. If you use both, GA4 gives priority to the gclid.
    Does capitalization matter in UTMs?
Yes. GA4 treats Facebook and facebook as different sources, so your reports get split. The safest rule is to always use lowercase, no accents and hyphens instead of spaces.
Can I use UTMs on internal links within my site?
It's not recommended. A UTM on an internal link restarts the session source and wipes out where the visit really came from. Use UTMs only on links coming from outside: ads, social media, emails, WhatsApp, PDFs or print.
    Does the QR code expire?
No. The QR code this tool generates contains the link itself, with no third-party redirects, so it works as long as your page exists. If you change the destination URL, you'll need to generate and print a new QR code.
