A 1,240-product catalog customers quote on WhatsApp
Corte & Acabado Industrial distributes European-brand abrasives and tools to shops and plants across La Laguna, but its catalog lived in 200-page PDFs. We built an online catalog generated from a spreadsheet, with variants by grit and size and a button to request a quote on WhatsApp on every product.

For Corte & Acabado Industrial, an abrasives and tools distributor in Torreón, we developed an online catalog generated from a data file with 41 categories and 1,240 products and variants (grit, size, diameter), Product schema, llms.txt and a "Quote on WhatsApp" button on every product. WhatsApp quote requests grew 138% in five months.
Where they started
The company is an authorized distributor for three European manufacturers of abrasives, cut-off wheels and power tools. Its customers are the buyer at an auto parts plant, the lead at a metal fabrication shop or the maintenance manager at a foundry: people who know exactly which disc they need and want a price fast.
The catalog was a set of manufacturer PDFs, in English or German, with part numbers that didn't match the inventory codes. Sales reps received photos of worn-out discs on WhatsApp and had to guess the reference. On Google, the company showed up for no product searches at all, only for its own name.
What we built
Together with the sales team we built a master product sheet: category, family, material to be worked, grit, size, diameter, internal code and manufacturer code. From that sheet, a generator builds the entire online catalog: 41 categories, product pages and variant tables, with no database to maintain.
Every product page has a "Quote on WhatsApp" button that opens a chat with the internal code, the selected variant and the quantity. Reps no longer have to guess: they know which disc, which grit and how many boxes. We added filters by material (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, wood) and a short guide to choosing the right grit.
Every product carries Product schema with brand, SKU and availability, and we published an llms.txt file that describes the catalog for AI search engines as part of our AI search optimization work. Updating prices or adding a full product line means editing the sheet and republishing.

How it came together
- 01
Discovery
Review of PDFs, inventory codes and WhatsApp conversations with customers.
Week 1 - 02
Master sheet
Standardizing 1,240 products and variants with the sales team.
Weeks 2–3 - 03
Generator and design
Category and product templates, variant tables and the quote button.
Weeks 4–6 - 04
SEO and launch
Product schema, llms.txt, sitemap and Search Console.
Week 7 - 05
Fine-tuning
Tracking quote requests and improving filters based on real use.
Week 8
The numbers
In five months WhatsApp quote requests went from 52 to 124 a month, and Google now indexes 1,112 of the 1,240 product pages. Orders started arriving from Saltillo, Monclova and Chihuahua, from buyers who found the product by searching for the exact size.
Because every message arrives with a code and a variant, average response time dropped from about three hours to 38 minutes. Sales reps stopped sending heavy PDFs: now they send a link to the product page.
“People used to send me a photo of a worn disc and I had to figure out what it was. Now the message comes with the code, the grit and how many boxes. I send a quote in minutes.”
