Comanda Suite: your restaurant connected from table to payroll

Comanda Suite brings together the digital pieces a restaurant uses every day: a website, a QR menu, a satisfaction survey, a point of sale and a fingerprint time clock. It's rolled out piece by piece, and each piece works on its own or connected to the others.

What software does a restaurant need to run smoothly?

A restaurant needs at least four things: a digital menu that's easy to update, a point of sale for tickets and payments, reliable time tracking for staff and a way to know what guests think. Comanda Suite brings those pieces together: a website with a QR menu, a satisfaction survey, a POS adapted to how Mexican restaurants operate and a fingerprint time clock that runs as a desktop app with the reader plugged into the restaurant's computer.

Many of the restaurants we work with in Torreón had the same disconnected pieces: a PDF menu nobody updated, a point of sale that knew nothing about the website, a time clock whose report was retyped into payroll by hand, and guest feedback lost among online reviews. Comanda Suite is the set of tools we built over time for sushi chains, taco shops and family restaurants, now packaged for any restaurant.

The point of sale starts from an open-source POS that we customize for Mexican restaurant operations: tickets by table, split checks, tips and closeouts by shift. The time clock is a desktop app built with Electron that reads fingerprints from a ZKTeco-style reader through a small C#/.NET bridge of our own, which exposes the reader as a local JSON API, with no dependence on the manufacturer's software.

  • Single-location restaurants. That want to retire the PDF menu, get their register in order and know what time staff really arrive.
  • Chains and franchises. Multiple locations with the same menu, per-location pricing, centralized attendance and comparable reports.
  • Cafés, bars and food trucks. Businesses that change their offering often and need a QR menu they can edit from a phone.
  • Restaurants with high staff turnover. Where late arrivals, absences and overtime spark arguments every payday and a biometric record pays off.

04FAQ

What people ask us

Do I have to buy the whole suite?
No. Each piece works on its own: you can start with the website and QR menu, add the satisfaction survey and later the point of sale or time clock. Once connected, the menu and the POS share products and prices, and attendance and sales reports live in one place.
What fingerprint reader do I need for the time clock?
The time clock works with ZKTeco-style USB readers. Our C#/.NET bridge is installed on the restaurant's computer and exposes the reader as a local JSON API that the desktop app queries. That way fingerprint capture happens on your own machine and doesn't depend on an outside service.
Why do you use an open-source POS?
Because a well-tested open-source POS gives us a stable base for tickets, payments and inventory, and lets us customize it for each restaurant without per-terminal license fees. We add what Mexican restaurant operations require and connect it to the digital menu and reports.
How long does it take to implement Comanda Suite?
The website with QR menu and survey usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. The point of sale and time clock require installation, product setup, enrolling employees and their fingerprints, and training by shift, typically another 2 to 3 weeks. In Torreón and La Laguna we install in person; outside the region we coordinate a remote installation with your manager.
