Monkey Cloud is the server stack we use to run our clients' websites, automations and systems: Docker VPS, a reverse proxy with automatic SSL, n8n, Portainer, remote desktops, encrypted offsite backups and monitoring. We manage it for you or set it up on a server in your company's name.

What is a self-hosted VPS, and why is it a good fit for automations and business systems?

A self-hosted VPS is a virtual server where you install your own applications instead of renting each one as a cloud service. It pays off when you use several tools (n8n, internal systems, websites, databases), because you pay for one server rather than a subscription per tool or per execution, and your data stays on infrastructure you control. The key is managing it well: updates, SSL, encrypted backups and monitoring.

Every automation, internal system or website we deliver has to live somewhere. Renting a different platform for each piece gets expensive and scatters your data across vendors in other countries. Monkey Cloud is how we solved that for ourselves and our clients: virtual private servers with Docker, where each application runs isolated in its own container, behind a reverse proxy that issues and renews SSL certificates automatically.

On top of that foundation run n8n for automations, Portainer to manage containers, remote desktops for teams that need a secure workspace, databases and the systems we build. Everything is backed up encrypted offsite and monitored so we get alerts before a client notices any downtime. It includes a hosting control panel translated into Spanish and a documented recipe to stand up the whole stack on a new server. What people ask us

How is Monkey Cloud different from shared hosting?
On shared hosting your site lives alongside hundreds of others and you can only install what the provider allows. On Monkey Cloud every application runs in its own Docker container on a virtual private server, so we can install n8n, databases, custom systems or remote desktops, with dedicated resources and their own backups.
Is my data secure on Monkey Cloud?
Servers expose only what's needed, behind the HTTPS reverse proxy; admin panels have restricted access; credentials are stored encrypted, and backups are encrypted before they leave the server for another location. If your policy requires it, we set up the stack on a server contracted in your company's name and you decide who has access.
Can I use Monkey Cloud even if we're not working on another project together?
Yes. We can host and manage just your automations or your internal systems. If you'd rather have the server in your name, we set it up in your own cloud account and hand over the documentation and credentials.
How much does Monkey Cloud cost?
It depends on the server size, how many applications and domains are hosted, backup retention and the level of monitoring and support. In many cases the monthly cost is lower than the total of the subscriptions it replaces. We quote it after a 30-minute call where we review the tools you use today.
